ZY Global Connect is seeking a creative, qualified, and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to deliver engaging practical and theoretical learning that develops students’ creativity, problem-solving, technical, and design-thinking skills. The successful candidate will create an innovative learning environment where students can explore ideas, develop solutions, and apply practical skills to real-world challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons appropriate to students’ age and ability levels.
Teach design principles, product development, problem-solving, and practical technical skills.
Guide students through the design process from research and concept development to prototyping and final products.
Develop students’ creativity, innovation, critical thinking, and practical problem-solving abilities.
Prepare differentiated learning activities to meet individual student needs.
Assess student work and maintain accurate academic records.
Ensure appropriate and safe use of tools, equipment, materials, and workshop facilities.
Integrate technology and digital design tools into learning where appropriate.
Encourage students to develop independent thinking and confidence in practical work.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school leadership.
Participate in school activities, parent meetings, professional development, and wider school programmes.
Follow school policies relating to safeguarding, student welfare, health, and safety.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Design & Technology, Technology Education, Engineering, Education, or a relevant field.
Recognised teaching qualification such as BEd, PGCE, PGDE, QTS/equivalent national teaching licence, or other recognised teaching certification.
Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
Strong knowledge of Design & Technology principles and practical applications.
Experience teaching an international or recognised curriculum is advantageous.
Strong classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
Candidate must satisfy applicable UAE visa, work-permit, teacher-registration, and safeguarding requirements.
